This is my first pedometer. I was very easy to set up and start to use. It resets each morning. I like the additional little strap that you can clip on for extra security to keep from losing it. Great for the price and shipping was fast.

And, yet again, I’m in the minority. This is one that is raved about, over and over. I tried to read it. I really did. I tried several times in fact. I didn’t care about the characters, I didn’t care about the story. I found myself annoyed and wishing it would simply be done. I finally skimmed it, hoping that I’d find something redeeming in the end, but I didn’t.

I can’t even pinpoint what it is that I didn’t like, and I hate that! It just wasn’t for me, and sometimes that happens. So many friends of mine, in the real world and online, loved it. And, I’ve learned that if several specific friends rave about certain books, I don’t usually like them. Some connect with a book, completely, and others don’t.

I am a HUGE fan of the Artemis Fowl books, but I saw this cover and instantly wondered why they would redo it. I think Artemis looks really creepy. Yes, I get that he is a criminal mastermind, but he makes me want to put the book down, not read it. I’m disappointed that Eoin Colfer let this happen. I just hope that the next book, The Atlantis Complex, won’t have this cover. And also, what’s with the logo? I hate this new cover!

Just used my new Hoover SteamVac Carpet cleaner for the first time. It was great. Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to clean. My 10 year old carpet had lots of pet stains and heavy foot traffic. It now looks as good as a professional carpet cleaning service could make it. The last time I paid to have my carpet cleaned it was over $300.00. I paid somewhere around $135.00 for this SteamVac so it has already paid for itself. It took me two hours to clean two large rooms and a long hallway starting with vacuuming it all and it was drier than when the pros finished. Oh, and the color of the dirty water really grossed me out, so I knew it was picking up the dirt! The cleaner is heavy, but manageable (I am only 5 ft tall, under 100lbs). It got closer to the walls than the pros. I am pretty happy with this cleaner.

I’m not typically a fan of books written in what I call “Southern-speak”; however, this is an outstanding novel. Stockett’s writing rings true, and I connected with the characters. The Help is a delightful, thought-provoking read, one I heartily recommend.
Essential Songs for Violin

I have had my Garmin Forerunner for 4 months now. PROS: Display is nice, easy to customize, easy to read. Have not had issues with locating satellites outside. Heart rate monitor works well. Love the ability to have virtual partner, set alarms for goals, etc. CONS: COMPUTER SOFTWARE and CUSTOMER SUPPORT! Initially everything worked perfectly. A couple weeks after I had used the device, I searched for software updates and the program said there was an update available. I downloaded the update then had major issues with transferring data and storing information on the computer. Numerous communications with customer service yielded poor responses and ineffective solutions. Independent research discovered that the so called ‘update’ was actually an earlier software version than the one I had loaded and not a more recent update. Wound up having to remove software and reload original, then it worked fine…UNTIL…a couple of days ago. I tried to customize a workout on the software and transfer the workout to my device. All seemed fine until I tried to then download my data after the workout. The device read “Transfer Complete” but the Training Center gave me an error message saying Trouble Communicating with Device…make sure it’s plugged into the computer then try again. Contacted customer support without reply. Seems like this device works well when you don’t try to customize anything or transfer from software onto device. I am VERY disappointed w/ this product and the support from Garmin.

I got this book for Christmas this year, I sat down the next day and read the whole thing through in less than two days. It was hard to put down, such a good story and the whole things was very well laid out. It gave a great glimpse into the life on the circus trains during the depression. I highly recommend it.
Glasser Fiberglass Violin Bow

This steam cleaner is easy to use and does a great job! My 15 year old and 22 year old daughters have also used it. It’s quick to set up and I often run it without the cleaning solution and still have great results. This is a must have for anyone who has pets. My next goal is to learn to use the hand attachment to do stairs and furniture.

I have a Kirby too, but it is amazing the amount of dirt that it misses. Even the carpet shampoo attachment on that does not do as well as this cleaner.

I hate housework, but I love this SteamVac! A great price too, compared to what I have seen in the stores… It’s already paid for itself, as I was getting desperate about my rugs and wanting to rip them up. My 10 year old rugs have never looked so good!
Violin Method Volume 2

Best brush EVER. OMG it gets sooooooooo much hair and doesn’t pull/scratch/cut their skin. This brush should really cost more than it does because it really is THAT good. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Just try it!
