Does Original Husqvarna Sears Craftsman really work?

Through the years I’ve owned countless pedometers. Many were effective for a short time, but quickly stopped working accurately. This particular pedometer is accurate, VERY long lasting, and just perfect. In fact, the one I bought is actually for my daughter. I wear one daily that I’ve had for two years and it has never given me anything less than ideal service. Seriously, this is the one to get.

I cannot fathom why anyone became famous, or wealthy, for writing this material… “The Catcher In The Rye” is one long, rambling, goofy, repetitive in the *extreme* diatribe…presented as an ode to Borderline Personality Disorder. It’s like page after page after page…of absolutely nothing. And at the end of it all, there is no pay off. There is no conclusion to the story. Don’t hope for one; it is not there.

Holden Caulfield gets kicked out of school (again), but he doesn’t do anything amazing with his time, except wander around for a weekend. He gets drunk, but he never really has much fun doing it. He picks up with a prostitute, but he gets no action. His creepy room mate dates his childhood friend, but nothing whatsoever comes of that either. His teacher cops a feel on him in the middle of the night, but the one he gets is really pretty silly to read about. He gets slapped around some, but never gets the stuffing knocked out of him, nor any sense knocked in. He gets sick toward the end, but he’s not suffering from anything major. And after 200 pages of terror over what his parents will think, you never actually hear what they have to say. All the reader knows is, Holden’s intelligence is upstaged by a 10 year old. Worst of all, after all of this whining & carrying on… Holden doesn’t come to any important new realizations about life, himself, or anyone else.

The realization I came to on the final page, is that just because a piece of writing is referred to as “a classic”, that does not mean it is particularly well written, or profoundly meaningful. J.D. Salinger wrote a relatively small collection of fiction, “The Catcher In The Rye” was his most “outstanding” writing, it was the hallmark of his life’s work, it became famous for some vague reason, & yet… It says nothing. I don’t know how it inspired 3 infamous stalker-killers to carry it around with them, when they went off to do their deeds… Personally, I would be embarrassed to hav

To put is simply, Colfer has a gift for taking excellent research of Irish mythology and giving it a modern and technical twist. That makes for plenty of wry, clever humor for this smartly paced book.

It’s a great concept: child criminal mastermind, big tough bodyguard. The little people with their gold.

It pokes fun of itself and all of its crazy characters as well as the entirity of Irish mythology. I appreciate the lengths Colfer has gone to, and the action is hilarious and well-done.

It’s not what I could call timeless fantasy, but it certainly is worth the popularity it holds.

I needed to update from Office 2003 and wanted to take advantage of many new features. I also like the fact that I can upgrade to Office 2010 when it comes out.

Say hi to PATENT APPLICATION ORIGINAL NUMBER

I am part of a large running group in the SF Bay Area and almost half of the folks in my group seem to own a GPS watch so I finally got one just in time for my most recent marathon. The Garmin Forerunner 305 is by far the most popular model amongst my teammates. I’ve only used the GPS functions so far and that has worked out very well and is very accurate also. For example, during the California International Marathon, the watch was accurate to within 0.1 miles over the entire 26.2 mile course!…and I did not experience any signal loss either. The real-time pace information and average pace readings were extremely helpful in helping me meet my time goal during the marathon. I considered getting the Forerunner 405, because it’s smaller and more stylish, but my teammates who have the 405 tell me that it’s a bit too sensitive to the touch and can’t be turned off. Style points aside, it turns out that the size of the 305 isn’t a problem because it’s so lightweight that you don’t even know you have it on. The upside is that it has a larger, customizable LCD display (you can display up to 4 data elements on one screen) and actual push buttons which are probably easier to use while running. I haven’t used the heartrate monitor yet, so I can’t comment on that, but the only drawback that I have found so far is with the battery life. It only holds a 10 hour charge, so you need to make sure to charge it before each run. Overall, I think this is an indispensable accessory for any serious runner.
