This is a great product for a child with autism. He loves the rattling sound the balls make and the noises when he drops them. I would highly recommend this for a pre-schooler or a child like mine with special needs.

I loved this story of 3 women, 2 African-American maids and one White plantation owner’s daughter whose commonalities prevail over their seeminly unpenetrable differences. Taking place in Jackson, Mississippi during the early sixties, Stockett weaves her story so that even if you were as far removed as possible from any of her characters lives, you still felt a glimpse of what it must have been like for them in some small way. I cheered for the three of them because in spite of what they risked, they were so inherently focused on what was right that nothing could stop them. I can’t help but think that this book was in some way, a tribute to all those stories of putting fear and retribution aside and taking a stand for what was right, race be damned. Stockett herself said that she wrote this book as a tribute to her own beloved childhood maid.
