I loved reading the book. Reminded me of my childhood in the South during the 50’s. I gave the cd to my mother for her birthday. My father listened to it too and they both really enjoyed it. Appeals to all age levels.

I love this mount, easy to set up and GPS doesn’t move on the dashboard, safe to use, much better than the suction mount I used before which hit me several times as it can be easily dislodged from the windshield especially because of the moisture from the rain.

I bought this Forerunner because I wanted to train for a triathalon. Very easy to change between running and biking which is nice. There are a lot of features with this but once you get the hang of it, the watch is easy to navigate. Heart monitor is a little quirky to setup. Mine didnt setup automatically off the bat so I had to keep turning the device off and on until it connected. Not really that big of a deal and shouldnt be a show stopper for purchasing this watch.

We decided to move from a 30 year old analog scale to a digital scale. It isn’t as traumatic as it sounds – we DO have two computers, two cell phones and a digital camera. I did my typical analysis and research and was awed at how many choices there are. I selected the EatSmart somewhat based on what looks like inflated customer reviews but more so on the features and appearance. The item arrived quickly, was well packaged, the instructions clear, batteries were included and it worked well right out of the box. It is accurate, doesn’t require a tap-on and the numbers are large and backlit so are easy to see. Overall I am impressed. Even though we didn’t have any issues, the vendor sent me an email about two weeks after the scale arrived to make sure everything was OK and of course asked me to write a review, increasing the almost 1400 reviews he has now.

It seems silly to write a review for something that has over 14,000 reviews already. Nonetheless, here are my impressions:

PROS: I have had my Kindle for several months and I am now a Kindle-only reader. I don’t buy or borrow print copies any more. I can hold Stephen King’s 1,000+ page book The Dome in one hand and wave it around. I can put the Kindle on the table while I eat and don’t have to find something to put on top of it so it doesn’t close while my hands are occupied. I have read the Kindle in glaring sunlight on a white Gulf of Mexico beach with no problem seeing the screen. I can sync it with my iTouch and have all my books with me wherever I go, even if the Kindle is on my night table. I can order new books almost any time, anywhere (see relevant note in CONS).

CONS: In Stephen King’s The Dome, nearly every other page had an inappropriately hyphenated word or two or three on it (i.e. every-where or out-side), not at the end of lines. Some formatting glitch that was a little annoying. A book I recently finished was missing an entire line of text. I am presently on vacation and finished a book and decided I wanted something other than what is in my Kindle to-be-read list. I have wifi where I am, so I used my computer to browse books and found one I wanted. I purchased it via the computer. A few minutes later, I checked the Kindle for it. Not there. I used the option to search for new items. It could not connect to Whispernet. This is a woodsy, hilly area. I walked to a clearing. Still no connection available. I wanted that book, so I got in my car and drove about 5 miles to a parking lot in an open area, where I was able to download my book. If you are in an area with no cell service, consider the possibility that Amazon’s own network, Whispernet, may not be available either. Normally when I order a book online, it is in my Kindle within 3-5 minutes. But that is apparently not always the case in hilly or remote areas.

When ordering I read many reviews and figured…for $3 a piece what do I have to lose? I lost signal from my HD DVR is what I lost. Now I am stuck having to go get another cable. This cable only worked for 4 days. While watching a movie the screen all of a sudden went blank on my Samsung 750 and said “No Signal”. Basically what this means is that when a digital cable loses it’s integrity you lose your signal. The TV still recognized that there was a cable plugged in but was not receiving any signal from my DVR. I have thrown this away and am buying a better cable. It’s not worth the hassle to repackage, go to the post office, pay for shipping and wait for a new one. I bought 3 of these and they all now reide in the bottom of my trash can! Please don’t believe the hype and buy something else. $3 is not worth ruining your TV by getting an annoying flicker and signal loss. Spend $20 and buy a cable that you won’t have to worry about.
