It was easy to program and get started. I like that it tracks your steps, aerobic steps, calories burned, miles walked, etc. It’s ability to reset itself every night at midnight is also very handy. A great product for a very reasonable price here on Amazon. It is keeping me on track with my daily workouts and just to wear all day to track steps, etc. Love it!!!!

The first two-thirds set the stage for a thrilling ending, but that’s all. Although Gruen’s style of writing is rich with varied vocabulary and description, the elements of the first part of the plot evoke little to no emotion in the reader. Even if the author didn’t spend a hundred pages building the back-story, the strange sexual elements that rear their ugly faces every few pages completely ruin the enjoyment of reading this book. If you want to spend 300 pages wondering why you’re reading this story, then pick up Water for Elephants and enjoy the most boring story you have ever read.

He has a very thick coat that seems unending – normal brushes do very little.

The demonstration videos of the Furminator are not an exaggeration; it works exactly like they say it does. I made the joke that the item comes with a free Pomeranian because the (compressed) ball of fur we end up with each time is the size of a small dog.

I don’t know yet how often the head needs to be replaced to maintain optimum functionality but we have used it about 10 times now and it still works perfectly.

Others also mentioned that their dogs seem to enjoy the feeling of this product – almost like scratching them with your fingers. Our dog was a little unsure about it when we started but he promptly fell asleep while we brushed him. I thought the product might pull on the hair too much but it seems to just slide right through with almost no resistance; you just have to watch out for matted spots of fur.

If you have a dog who is shy of brushes just walk to him/her without using excitement and set it on the floor for the dog to sniff then gradually start brushing.

If you have a thick-coated pup this will be a great help for maintaining the amount of fur left around the house. Also, if you live in a hot-weather climate with a thick-coated dog this does a good job of removing the undercoat to help keep him/her cool.

I use it for jogging/walking and it appears consistent and accurate based on about 10 outings of 6 mile length.

Positives: Light weight, easy to read, much flexibility on output displays, docks and synchronizes seemlessly with the Garmin Training Center software, works as advertised. I particularly like to display current pace as well as average pace.

Negatives (but none are serious): Takes 30 to 45 seconds to find satellites. I have a short attention span and tend to get impatient waiting for it to lock onto the satellites.

Tip: I occasionally record a false start by accident, then stop the run after say 5 or 10 seconds. Unfortunately, this “run” is recorded on the GPS. After uploading the data to the Garmin Training Center, I deleted the bogus run from the uploaded records. But every time I dock/sync, the short run was restored to the training record. The solution is to upload data, delete the unwanted record, clear the GPS memory, then send the remaining good records from the Training Center back to the GPS device. Said another way, I couldn’t find a way to delete a record directly from the GPS, but the workaround accomplishes the same thing.
