Water for Elephants is a superb novel that is endlessly engrossing. Gruen’s storytelling ability is marvelous and this book is tireless throughout, I couldn’t put it down. It’s romantic, its daunting, its tense, and immensely rewarding.

The characters in this novel are so well put together and so dynamic that you care for so many and loathe others. The progression is absolutely perfect. Her vivid descriptions pulls you in head first into the depression era, and really paints a picture of a train circus even though I have no experience with the medium.

This is a story that I truly cherish and will return to in the future, a movie is being released next year for it and if it captures even half the essence of the book it will be wildly successful.

When you think of fairies, do you think of cute little winged creatures? Well, you are wrong. The book I read was Artemis Fowl. This book is about a boy named Artemis Fowl, who tries to kidnap a fairy and demand a ransom. He kidnaps Captain Holly Short, a recon officer. Her superior, Commander Root, sends an LEP (Lower Elements Police) retrieval team to try to rescue Holly. Butler, Artemis’ bodyguard, is there to meet them. That is when things get a bit crazy. Trolls start breaking in. A dwarf starts digging his way in. There’s more…

I like this book, because of two reasons. First, the author really described the characters and the setting. Second, because he uses a lot of foreshadowing in the story. That is also bad, because he doesn’t tell you right away what Artemis’ plans are. But that is also good, because they leave you thinking “What is his plan?” If you are interested in magical creatures, kidnapping, magic, and series, then pick up this book and don’t put it down until you finish!

This was so popular I just had to buy it for my daughter. I was concerned that it would be to large on her wrist and, yes, it is much larger than even a man’s sport watch, but after she started running, She said that she didn’t even notice it. She did have a tendency to hit it on the sides of exercise machines, so now she takes it off for somethings. The software that Garmin provides is not super helpful. I’d say it’s “adequate” but does not tap into the device’s potential. Fortunately, there are other programs available. I helped her by using the internet and like it a lot. I can see my progress and this inspires me to do more and run faster. If you’re into fitness data, then this is the device for you. I debated and fretted over whether I should buy this. She just started seriously running about a year ago and thought this might be more info than she needs. Financial times are tough and almost couldn’t justify it. However, a good price from this site pushed me over the edge. I haven’t regretted it since! The device provides so much info. You can set up the display to show what is important to you: time, pace, distance, calories, average speed, etc. The GPS does, at times, take awhile to find its place in space, but is accurate. She just turns it on a few minutes before she is ready to go. You can use it without the GPS if you’re running on the treadmill. It still tracks everything except those values liked to the global positioning.

This book was a dense text. Tends to be somewhat comical with Holden’s observations of the every day lives of people in NYC. Some what vulgar language, though. The comical spins Salinger puts on the subtle nuiances of society were funny. Not a very easy read, though as it is written from the point of view of Holden (entirely).

ASSEMBLY HELP IF YOU HAVE LEAKING….
So I had the major leaking once put together problem that many had. It seemed as if the clean surge button was “stuck” in place, despite doing the depressing of it with the trigger as stated and the trigger didn’t seem to be working properly either. SO I took the handle back OFF the cleaner, wiggled the “bars” inside the handle that work the buttons, one shoud be much lower then the other or it won’t work, so pulled that bar down and wiggled it a bit, and then slowly put the handle back on, making sure the bars hit the spots they were supposed to (tried the buttons after setting handle on before screwing it back together) once buttons seemed to be working normally, then put the screws back in and depressed the trigger and clean surge button as stated in directions and put the tanks back on, hoping like HECK it was going to stop leaking so I could clean the floors as planned today, and it did!!! I was beyond excited. No more leaking and a sparkling clean house. ) I had the previous model of this cleaner for over 4 years before the motor started to go and it always worked wonderfully. For someone in a small apartment with several animals, 2 crazy boys and dirt, cat pee and cat puke galor, this is the cleaner for me!

This is an excellent cable for the price; it even handles 1080p audio. Why pay so much for one when you can simply get one for under $3.00? Don’t fall for the gimmicks out there. A cable is a cable. Just do yourself a favor and buy this.

When I used the attachments the first time, dust started coming out from where the attachment was attached to. As I was getting ready to send it back , I found out thanks to a previous review writer, that the vacuum was different than what I read in the Consumers Reports. One item missing was an extra attachment. When I called, they wanted me to pay extra for the attachment but since the vacuum cleaner was defective because of the company’s questionable manufacturing, they send me a piece at no charge.

The vacuum cleaner is good except when you vacuum rugs with fringes because it eats them up and spits them out, so you have to be very careful. I had the vacuum set at the highest setting. It works well on wall to wall carpet.

A lot of vacuum for the money. Works great. I highly recommend this unit.
