250W Nuvi Garmin Nylon OK?
Ipod touch 8GB is the all in one go to MP3, pocket computer, game player, video viewer etc etc…. Normally I would have chosen a Bible as my lone desert item must have, but I have 6 translations of the Bible on my ‘touch. Plus survival tips on an island?, identifying unsafe fauna or taming wild boars?…there’s an App for that!
Wow…I have wanted one since launch day a few years ago…and the day finally finally came to purchase one! I made it a mini goal of mine when I started weight watchers in Feb 09, that when I lost say between 75 and 90 pounds, I would get to purchase an Ipod touch. So I saved, and sacrificed and all that jazz, and purchased it March 12, 2010. I even did a little victory jig in line at the Genius Bar! And also shed a tear!
The touch screen is scary sensitive! It’s like barely a finger swipe or tilt, and voila! I especially love that while in class, I can just call up on wikipedia or google, to fact check on a topic my professors are discussing.
The App store itself…you could get lost for an hour or two, just scrolling through the game section! I love all the utilities and entertainment items, and the FREE Apps! Woo!
It’s beginning to feel like a third hand or arm or whatever, I use it so much. Everyone is always asking to try it out, or to quickly confirm something online…
Okay…down sides….lack of voice control, and only because It means I can’t use those awesome voice change Apps where you can make your voice come out of a little puppy or kitty. No camera…not a huge deal breaker, but it would have been nice. The problem of every time I charge it on my lap top, it tries to copy all my songs to the lap top, thus making me lose precious storage space.
All in all….a definite must have must buy, and a spectacular alternative to it’s big brother Ipad

Garmin 360 nüvi Bluetooth line
I used iGuidance 1.0 for the Pocket PC for over 4 years before I got the Garmin nüvi 360. I loved the iGuidance but the Garmin nüvi 360 blew me away!
Accuracy
——–
The nüvi is very accurate; it has yet to fail to bring me to my destination. However, I’ve encountered a few instances where an address or road wasn’t in the nüvi database – and I have the most current (2009) maps. In such cases, your best bet would be to simply enter an adjacent or nearby location into the nüvi.
Directions
———-
The software lets you know how far ahead your next turn is when you’re within between about .1 to .5 miles. It says something like “In .1 miles, turn left onto Broadway” and a few hundred feet before your turn, it omits the information on the distance before your turn and simply says “Turn left onto Broadway.” I wish it used feet instead of miles when specifying distances .2 mile (1056 ft) or less but it’s a minor complaint.
The software gives you the directions for two successive turns that are very close together (say, 300 feet apart) all at once to make sure you have ample time to respond to the second turn that immediately follows the first. For example, “Take exit 70, then keep left”, or “Turn right, then immediately turn left.”
However, it may occasionally notify you of a turn a little late, which results in you missing the turn. Thankfully, this doesn’t happen very often. If you do miss a turn, however, the software recalculates a new route very quickly (within a couple of seconds)!
Auto-Off/Resume Function
————————
My Garmin is a permanent fixture in my car. I leave the car adapter permanently hooked up to the unit. What I really love about it is it automatically turns off when the external power supply is lost. What this translates to is whenever I turn off my car engine, the unit automatically shuts itself off. When I start my car, the unit automatically fires back up. It gets better – it remembers your set destination when it turns ba

Crazy on Nuvi Lexerd 885 Garmin
I was looking for value and that’s what I got. It’s hard to part with money these days so I was looking for an inexpensive, good working vacuum cleaner. This vacuum was easy to assemble with sturdy parts. It cleans great, moves easy, and does a better job in less time than my old vacuum. Perfect.

Sick about GPS 550 Garmin Nuvi
This is my second Garmin beanbag mount–one for me and a recently purchased one for my son. This product is the epitome of quality and utility. Although I initially used the suction mount that I received with my Garmin GPS–which was also a quality mount–the adhesive on the disk that I stuck to the dash for the suction mount didn’t hold up to the Arizona sun, and after awhile, the disk peeled away from the dash. I therefore purchased this beanbag mount, and I am very glad that I did because, in and out of the car, it is more convenient to use than the suction mount was. I have had mine for several years, and it is apparent that this mount will outlive me and my GPS.
P.S. Regarding the adhesive disk for the suction mount, when the adhesive eventually failed on mine, to my great relief, the adhesive came off with the disk and left no adhesive or mark on my vinyl dash. I had been a little concerned when I attached the adhesive disk that it would mar the dash, but since it was small and not unsightly, I figured that it wouldn’t bother me or a subsequent owner if it was left permanently stuck to my black dash. However, the adhesive was apparently designed to maintain its flexibility to prevent a permanent bond, and therefore prevent destructive removal. I suspect that with a cooler-than-desert climate–and/or a closer-to-horizontal dash surface than I used in my application–the adhesive disk and suction mount combo would provide many years of good service.
