This is quite possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. A good friend of mine recommended it to me and I kept reading expecting something more… It just seemed to keep going on without any real purpose.

First off is that the small screen on the 3750 is easy to see on a sunny day. I can actually read the text and see the maps. This certainly wasn’t the case with my four year old Nuvi 350. And the flat form factor makes it easy to drop into one’s pocket. These two points alone make this a significant upgrade from my geriatric 350. Also there’s a speaker with decent volume built into the windshield mount to take over from the itty bitty 3750 speaker.

And they kept Aussie Karen as my voice from beyond.

Now some points based on cruising around my stomping ground… The 3750 seems to like to route me a little to the right of the most direct routes. During a recent test run the unit sent me nearly a mile out of my way on a seven mile jaunt. Well it would have been seven miles but the Nuvi sent me eight miles. Was it trying to avoid traffic lights? Beats me but the trip took about seven minutes longer. My old 350 never went rogue with route calculations (well there was that forestry road once).

Another point is that the 3750 is supposed to run for up to four hours on its internal battery. Even with the back light set at 10%, I’m getting way less than that.

Also Garmin doesn’t even include a cheap vinyl carry case. I picked up a five dollar Tom Tom case that provides a nice “loose” fit.

The only manual with my Nuvi was a quick start micro booklet that pretty much will leave you to your own devices for figuring things out. Fortunately most functions are self-explanatory.

Garmin did include a disk that’s smooth on one side and sticky on the other. This allows me to mount the unit in an unused portion of my car’s info screen and keep the GPS outta sight of anyone with itchy fingers (and no, I don’t leave it mounted unattended by me).

Anyhow I do like the unit but wonder if its routing software might be in need of a little tweaking.

Installation on three computers was a strong selling point and the
“free” 2010 upgrade closed the deal.

Amazon is very dependable. My product arrived in 2 days, and there are 3 downloads available for the software. the price is one of the better ones out there and you know you are getting a legal copy. I turn to Amazon often when I want qualiity at a good price.

This is far less expensive than monster cables and just as good. It’s kind of like claiming that your digital photos will look better if you transfer them to your computer with a more expensive USB cable. The only difference can be in the durability of the cable and the insulation. I haven’t had this cable long enough to know how durable it will be, but I know I can replace it at least 6 times with shipping before I will have paid as much a standard retail HDMI cable. It’s a shame that most people aren’t getting the most of their HDTVs because no retailer will carry an HDMI cable without 650% markup. I have a purchased two of these to connect my amfm receiver, DVD player and tv. Everything works perfectly. HDMI cables transmit a digital signal, not analog, so there’s no way to claim that you’re going to get a better picture with a more expensive cable. It’s either going to work or it’s not.

Artemis Fowl is a great book for kids.

This book is about a 12 year old boy named Artemis who is a genius and has a head for schemes. Artemis along with his body guard Butler go on adventures in an attempt to get his families fortune back. In order to accomplish this task his current scheme is to see if he can steal fairy gold without dying.

The Fairy world is made up of a lot of different creatures who are policed by a group called the LEPrecons. Holly Short a member of the fairy LEPrecon Unit gets herself kidnapped by Artemis. The LEPrecon force works to save Holly, stop Artemis, and protect there most favorite thing…Gold.

This the first of many adventures that Artemis, Butler, and Holly have together. I would recommend this book to anyone who would be willing to go on an adventuress adventure.

My dog has a thinner coat and it did alright but when I used it on my neighbors dog I was amazed at the hair it pulled off of him. Impressive product.

I LOVE this book! The characters are so loveable and the dialogue is so rich. This is definitely one of my new favorite books.
