I bought this flash card to use in my Sony DSC-HX5V camera. I took over 1,100 photos and 50 HD videos on a recent 6 day trip. I only used about 40% of this cards capacity. It was way overkill for what I needed, but for the price, who cares! Transfers are extremely fast onto our computer or PS3 with the Class 6 speed.

I don’t have much to say. I bought this particular cleaner because of the adundance of positive reviews. It has performed exactly as advertised and is a great steam cleaner. The best feature has to be the seperate tanks. My old cleaner had a bag inside the dirty tank that held the clean water. It was a pain. HAving the seperate tanks is wonderful…
Great product.

Let’s start with the fact that this book is an American Classic. It deals with the coming of age of Holden Caulfied, a completely incoragable young man who is not always likeable. That’s the thing that sucks you in. This kid swears, smokes, lies, gets kicked out of school, etc. etc. Not exactly the kind of book I want my teenager reading, but in the end, the story all comes together.
***Possible Spoilers***
Holden is quite intuitive and really sees the underbelly of human nature and the false bravado with which adults live their lives. He, of course, is full of false bravado himself (the scene with the hooker shows that). He calls them like he sees them, even at the expense of others.
Is Holden a hero to teens or a rebel without a cause? The answer lies in your own interpretation of this story. Give it a try.

I bought this unit based on previous reviews on this board, and So far I have been very pleased with this lightweight gem. It seems to work great and it’s user friendly enough for mature children to operate. I highly recommend as well.

My husband bought my Kindle2 for me for my birthday last June. I absolutely LOVE my Kindle! I work out of town and am an avid reader. I don’t want to have to tote a backpack full of books, and with Kindle, I have many books at my fingertips, and if I want to read more, I can access the Kindle Store through Whispersync technology to download samples and make new purchases. The only complaint I have about my Kindle is that there is no way to organize the books and locate them easily. One has to click through the pages to find the book that is being sought. Other than that, I LOVE my Kindle and I recommend Kindle to everyone who asks me about it!

Catcher in the Rye has many relevant meanings for the teenagers of today. Holden Caufield’s confusions and frustrations are those of most teenagers who want to connect with other people and belong to a certain social quota. J.D Salinger presents to us a novel full of symbolism, imagery, and adolescent complexity that fufills it’s overall goals of giving us a glimpse into the life and psyche of a troubled and disturbed teenager who tries making connections with people he doesn’t know ending up in, as mean as this may sound, humorous failed attempts. The overall theme in this novel doesn’t comply any moral as did Ovid’s fables back in ancient Greece. Catcher in the Rye tends to be more interpretive in that manner. Holden’s inability to truly connect with people is due to his inability to immature and let go of pain.
“People never notice anything” (Pg 9). It’s in this quote that we really see what type of person Holden really is. Nobody around Holden seems to understand him, seems to understand his angers and confusions. Everyone is just as about as “phony as he is”. It’s in these beginning chapters we notice that something is wrong with Holden. something that doesn’t quite match up. He’s a white male with well-off parents that can afford to send him off to boarding school and he purposefully flunks out by not even attempting to study. It’s not until later on in the novel that we learn of James Castle and his brother Allie that there is a reason for this rebellion and personal wall that he has erected for himself. It’s how Holden breaks this wall that makes this book powerful and a very compelling and humorous read.
