Air Austin HealthMate Jr Final

I purchased this cable to replace a cable that my 1.5 yr old nephew broke. It got here quickly and works fine. As a side note, for some reason I recieved 2 cables in my package…Anyhow, can’t beat getting it for $2! If the picture quality isn’t perfect, you could have fooled me, I certainly don’t see much room for improvement, on my 42″ LCD.

LA Electronic Air 1400S for you

This book changed my life forever. I was not raised in a spiritual or religious manner, but we all seek answers to complicated questions about life. Neale offers an amazing perspective on how to deal with the world in a way that allows a person to be open-minded and understand that no matter what we think we know, the answers have always been within ourselves. The power to change the world is in our hands, not any church or spiritual leader, not in a mythical god figure or government, but within us.

In all my life, I have read hundreds of books, and few were so enjoyable as this book, Artemis Fowl.

The book is set in our current time and begins with a 12-year-old genius finding a fantastical creature, green and slimy and in pain from alcoholism, and forces it to give him a copy of The Book–the Fairy’s Bible in essence. From here it goes into an exciting, dangerous, and twisty story full of surprises and characters you wouldn’t expect.

The novelty of this book is the fact that it has an entirely new take on fairies. It doesn’t show them as cute little creatures who sprinkle pink sparkly dust all over you. These fairies are heavily-armed, high technology, and completely human-like. They have very human qualities that makes them appealing, but they have (obviously) many things about them that are inherently fairy. They have familiar fairy qualities, but yet Colfer was able to add other elements to the fairies that we’ve never seen before. One of the most unique was the reinvention of the dwarf. Dwarfs have been transformed into tunnelers who consume the dirt and digest it in seconds to tunnel through the ground and cover up their tracks. It seems disgusting when you first read it, but it comes in handy later in the book and in the series.

The fairy technology is one of my favorite parts of the book. Such intricate ideas and designs–truly ingenious. There are too many to list them all, but probably the most dangerous is the Bio-Bomb, or “blue rinse.” It destroys all life in its proximity, yet leaves all other structures intact. This is one of dozens of inventions Colfer’s devious mind has created.

The writing was excellent, and although it was cheesy at some points, there are some witty elements that are going to make you laugh.

A great book all in all. I would call it “required reading!”

Universal HQRP Air Vent cool

Got this just before knee surgery and just recently got around to playing with my Kindle. I live where there is no reception so I downloaded a couple books on my computer and transferred to my Kindle. As I’m not real good at this I called Customer Service and was sooooo pleased with them. He walked me through the process step by step. It’s comforting to know they are there and so helpful AND did not make me feel stupid. Very very pleased.

Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch on TV, in movie theaters, on the Internet, and the music they listen to, but also be alert regarding the books they read.

Two particular books are, Conversations with God and Conversations with God for Teens, written by Neale D.. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by their titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list for a number of weeks, and they make truth of the statement, “Don’t judge a book by its cover or title.”

The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids using the “voice of God”. However, the “answers” that he gives are not Bible-based and go against the very infallible word of God. For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question “Why am I a lesbian?” His answer is that she was ‘born that way’ because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and “celebrate” her differences.

Another girls poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”

His reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong.”

Another question asks about God’s forgiveness of sin. His reply “I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive.. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is “‘judge not lest ye be judged.”
Not only are these books the false doctrine of the devil, but in some instances quote (in error) the Word of God.

And the list goes on. These books (and others like it) are being sold to schoolchildren through (The Scholastic Book Club), and we need to be aware of what is being fed to our children.

Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant about teaching your chil

It’s too flimsy. I know they want it to be light, but I think they went too far. Other than that, it’s outstanding.

I’m going to go out on a limb here. Let me get right to the point: This is a terrible book.

Harsh? Maybe, but that’s how it is. About the time Artemis Fowl hit the market, I heard it claimed that Eoin Colfer was 14 when he wrote it. On some simple checking of dates, the claim seems unlikely (he was 36 when it was published). But the book is so badly written that it’s believable. If this was fanfic, everyone would be pointing at the protagonist and shouting “Gary Stu! Gary Stu!” (If that doesn’t ring any bells, try looking up “Mary Sue” instead.) The descriptive style … well, what can one say about the descriptive style? Phil Foglio uses some very similar characterisations in his Myth books. (Compare Guido and Nunzio to Fowl’s butler, for example.) The difference is, Foglio is writing humorous — and occasionally risqué — parody (and doing a good job of it) … but Colfer is serious. And it just doesn’t work. The characters are cardboard and flat; the plot is predictable and stereotyped, and yet manages to strain even a teenager’s willing suspension of disbelief with its excesses of “But wait, there’s more.”

Granted, this is supposed to be “young adult” fiction. But so is Harry Potter; and the qualkity of writing and plot development in Harry Potter are so far above Artemis Fowl that there’s scarcely any comparision. I know if anyone had given me a copy of Artemis Fowl when I was a “young adult”, I’d have been insulted that they thought my reading level was so low.
