The Kindle was a Christmas present. I am an avid reader and a librarian. I am extremely disappointed with the Kindle because the prices of the books are almost equal to what you will pay for a printed copy. I cannot understand why we paid $259 for a digital player and would not receive a greater discount on the materials purchased for the player. I am not even able to use it to download digital content at libraries as other products like the Sony Reader allow you to do. What I thought would be a great purchase is really a waste of money.
