Thanks, Amazon, for cutting the price less than 3 wks after I bought mine at full price plus warranty. Very disappointed.
Experience and its Systematization

I gave this product 5 out of 5 stars only because everyone I know who has a Kindle absolutely loves it. I, however, am still on the fence about whether to buy the Kindle 2, or wait for an upgraded model. I have read rumors of a new version of Kindle to be introduced August, 2010. I would love to get your thoughts on whether the newer version (and subsequent higher price) will be worth the wait – or if I should take advantage of the very reasonably priced Kindle 2.

It almost vacuums by itself! The power is amazing. I was so impressed when I turned it on and I could watch the dust around where I was vacuuming getting pulled up and I wasn’t even vacuuming on the area it was sucking from. I love it. Great buy, and great vacuum. Thank you Hoover for creating a great affordable product!

I only used it once, but I had no problems with it. The vacuum did a great job of getting the water out of the carpet, after going over it several times. The scrubber brushes are rinky dink though, and should be re-designed to do a better job and to be more easily remove and replaced after cleaning them. They are already mashing down some and aren’t stiff enough to last very long. Better quality brushes would definitely be an asset to the machine. All in all, it did a good job for the price.

All you do is walk on it and you get a clear weight reading down to 1/10 lb. It is accurate and easy to read. A good value for the price!

We’ve had the vacuum for a few weeks now and have not had any problems with it at all. It does a very nice job on plush carpeting as well as flat carpets but not quite as good on hardwood floors. It has a handle just above the bag compartment that makes it easy to carry up and down stairs and it is fairly light compared to other full size uprights. As mentioned by others, the cord is about 6 feet too short. The mechanism to adjust the vacuum height is klunky, feels like it may be something easy to break, and is somewhat difficult to use. The suction for the hose attachment is almost too hard and there is no way to dial it down. Overall, though, I like this vacuum and would recommend it to friends.

I’m in sales — I’m all about quota and “making my numbers”.

I am also very glad I didn’t review this as soon as I got it. It’s not the easiest to set up. I got it, opened it and put in the battery and put it aside. The directions don’t flow and it took my techie hubby to bail me out– and only after several tries. My first thought was to send it back. So, to avoid my frustration– put the battery in only when you are ready to set it up.

But now, I am in love. The goal is 10K steps a day or 5 miles. They add up. Doing laundry, making the bed and breakfast, etc etc added about a mile. Then I went for my 3 mile walk. My walk has markers and I found it to be accurate. Then it was a birthday celebration and I had a larger meal than usual. So instead of the 10K steps, I walked around my pool several steps. It’s 6PM and I’m at 15K, and feeling light (vs fat) from the meal.

These steps add up, to and fro the shop center parking lot is 75 steps each way. How easy is this– you overeat a bit so step it up! It’s only easy cause you can see your progress.

K– skip the harness. It comes with a string already and the bundled harness is $3 and they’re gonna charge you shipping. I was discouraged reading the other reviews– some saying “get something more serious” at this price? But next one will be a watch, waterproof at that. You need pockets for this. You can put it in your purse, but I don’t take my purse in sales calls.

So, I learned about pedometers, quotas and after one day– feel great. I’m addicted! It keeps me moving– did I mention I’m in sales and love improving my numbers?

This just verifies what hundreds and thousands have already said. There is no difference in the quality between what these cables deliver and what the fantastically expensive cables that the big box stores want to sell you deliver.

This is a DIGITAL signal, not analog. That means that if the information is delivered, the information is delivered. In an analog cable, there are quality and environmental issues that can interfere with the signal, so the stronger and more clear the signal, the better.

With a digital signal, that is not a factor. There is nothing magic about delivering digital information. So save the money already and save literally a few hundred dollars on the various HDMI cables you’ll need to hook up your cable/satillite box, your blu ray player, and whatever other new fangled AV components you’ve found lately as new toys.
