I had a Bissel Pro Heat but the pump gave out and I had read bad reviews about the newer ones. I researched and read reviews on all brands before deciding on the Hoover.
It is a little heavier and more difficult to maneuver, but does a beautiful job otherwise.
A Heart Lies Within

I picked up Twilight one day just to see what the big hype was about. I’m not into vampire novel’s nor have I ever read one.

But this book sucked me in. It sucked me in good too. Twilight is an addicting book, as soon as you put it down, you want to pick it up and read more of it. Who is Edward and what’s up with Bella? Who’s Jacob and why would Edward just be honest with Bella?

For some people, this book will open a whole new world to them. It’ll remind you of the feeling of falling in love for the first time, at least that’s the best way I can describe it and I don’t mean with Edward Cullen, I mean in general. Face it, Edward doesn’t have much of a personality to fall in love with. But there’s just something so addicting about this book and about this story about two creatures who aren’t suppose to be together. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s forbidden, maybe it’s the thrill of the thought of dating a vampire, maybe its because Bella keeps making things difficult or maybe you just want to see if Edward will give in an kill the girl. No matter what it is, this book will grab you and won’t let go!

I have been programming for years, but new to PHP and Drupal. This book was (and is) exactly what I need to get things done. It’s pretty complete — I think the entire Drupal 6 API is discussed. It’s well organized. It has a good index (!!), and it has non-trivial examples that work you through to the end of the topic.

I am struggling in some cases — Drupal’s greatest strength is the number and scope of its contributed modules, and this book does not address them. However, there are some modules that are effectively part of core Drupal (or ones that will be soon). Most modules are poorly documented and have a few bugs or limitations — as a new Drupal developer, I have found it hard to know how to isolate problems — in modules, and in my own code. One module, briefly discussed (Devel) is a huge help, but very little is written about it.

While I understand that a book like this cannot cover everything, a section on practical debugging, testing, problem isolation and so on would have done wonders for me.

Still the book is a must have for me.
Pro Drupal Development Second

Before this vacuum, I had purchased several ones, each that fell apart in an extremely short period of time and that cost many times what this one did! I was definitely going through a very bad vacuum time!!! I got this one based on its positive reviews and very good price! (I couldn’t handle spending a lot on a vacuum again!!). It’s been about a year now, and I am overjoyed to say that this vacuum still works and does a great job!!! It’s quite powerful and very easy to use. While I sometimes wish the cord would stay on better when it’s not being used and the attachments are always falling off, I can easily overlook these!! The vacuum is great for doing all the basic cleaning. The attachments do their job at helping me reach those hard-to-reach places. I am just so happy that I finally found a vacuum that actually works!!

Tropical Treasure Fruit Basket

The product works as advertised. It is a big step forward with the wireless, over my edition one Kindle which will not pick up wireless in my area (mid-Wyoming). The down side from the first edition is the lack of sd card function which I make great use of with version one. Otherwise it has a clear crisp screen, syncs wirelessly and is very comfortable to hold.

I’m still working out how I feel about this book. It was so well written, goes seamlessly between the past and the present. The love story (was it between he and Marlena or he and Rosie?) was lyrically written. The author did an amazing job of pulling me back and forth between the two. I even shed a few tears over a few different things. I’m not an animal activist, but certain parts of this book made me very uncomfortable. The history of the circus is pretty well known. We know the animals were mistreated (heck, they are today too), but the author writes so well about this subject that I found it hard to swallow that lump in my throat. It’s obvious she did some major research into the subject matter.

When I originally read the description for this book, it was on my “skip it” list, but a few of my friends read it and told me I “had” to read it. I’m so glad they did. This was a beautiful book and definitely in my top 10 for the year.

February 2010:
I read this one just six months ago but someone in my book club chose it so I decided to re-read it. It’s always interesting when I read a book a second time, especially if it was one that I really enjoyed (and this was definitely a book I enjoyed immensely.

I noticed things I didn’t notice in the first read, probably because I knew what was going to happen so I found a lot of the little quirky foreshadowing and things. The prologue, of course, caught me and a lot of “ahhh…” moments.

This is a book you must read. It really is that simple. I had looked at it a few times, but it really didn’t look like anything I would want to read, so I kept skipping it. A friend of mine insisted I read it last year and I’m glad she did. It’s absolutely wonderful! Read it.
